About IT@ND

The Notre Dame IT community includes anyone who works in an IT or IT adjacent role. This community is intended to foster shared development, standards, knowledge, and opportunities across the University's IT professionals.
While the OIT is the largest IT unit at Notre Dame, more than 40% of IT professionals work in colleges, schools, and departments around the University.
By rule, the IT@ND group includes all employees in the OIT or CRC, as well as any employee in an IT job family. A curated list of exceptions (e.g., Library IT who are categorized as faculty) and IT adjacent staff are included as well.
What does "IT adjacent" mean?
Many of our colleagues at the University have roles that include work traditionally found in IT, such as managing or configuring a software application for their departments. Data analysts, process owners, or service providers often perform such work on a regular basis. These employees are often categorized in non-IT job families but would benefit from the ongoing communication, professional development opportunities, and other shared resources that provide value to the IT@ND community. As we identify colleagues in these roles, we invite them to join the community and get access to our internal newsletters, attend IT Town Hall meetings, participate in professional development opportunities, etc.
