The University of Notre Dame recently hosted the Zoom Edu Summit at the Morris Inn, bringing together higher education leaders, educators, technologists, and AV professionals from across the United States to explore the future of teaching, learning, collaboration, and campus engagement. The two-day event welcomed approximately 133 registered attendees representing 39 unique institutions and organizations, creating a valuable opportunity for peer benchmarking, collaboration, and strategic dialogue on the evolving role of technology in higher education.
The summit focused on how emerging technologies, particularly AI-powered collaboration tools and modern Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platforms, are reshaping both the academic and operational landscape of universities. Through keynote presentations, hands-on workshops, and collaborative discussions, participants explored ways institutions can create more connected, accessible, and efficient learning environments while supporting the changing expectations of students, faculty, and staff.

The AVIXA-certified Zoom Spaces Designers Track provided technical insights into designing and supporting next-generation learning and collaboration spaces, while also offering continuing education opportunities for AV professionals.
The summit also provided Notre Dame with an important opportunity to benchmark its learning space technologies, collaboration strategies, and digital engagement initiatives against peer institutions and industry leaders.
