Congratulations to Jim Baad, Community IT Experience, for your RecognizeIT nomination. Here is what the nominator had to say:

During the VDI for Admin Apps project, we were struggling with rehosting an old MS Access based offering for the really old Teacher Class Evaluation (TCE) reports.  While exploring options, Jim suggested an even simpler approach--create a utility that would process and generate all the reports for all the class evaluations and write them as PDF files to a OSPIR managed Google Drive.  Not only that, he had also already whipped up a v1 of it over that prior weekend.  This method worked beautifully and we were able to decommission the application and hosting server.  Soon after that, the licensing issue with ColdFusion appeared.  That platform also had a "newer" class evaluation reports archival offering (CIF Reports Archival).  Even though this instantiation (CIFs) was a bit more complex than the prior version (TCEs), Jim was able to again tweak his utility and get it processing with the ColdFusion 11 application.  Much more data with 3-4 different types of reports, the utility completed its work after 2-3 months of processing thousands of reports and we can now retire another legacy application (and an at-risk ColdFusion 11 application) and server.  In addition, this brought together legacy CIF data under 1 format (pdf) in 1 location (Google Drive) for OSPIR to manage moving forward.  Thank you Jim for your creativity, skill, and partnership.  This important data is in a better location with better access and protection.  We really appreciate you!
