Identity & Access Management

Congratulations to the Identity & Access Management team led by Michele Decker and includes Lauren Ajamie, Aaron Howell, Ken Marciniak, Derek Owens and Ray Storer. Here is what the nominator said about this team’s great work:

My daughter (Tracy Kulwicki) works as part of the Admissions team of the Executive MBA program and last night she shared this story with me. Last week she welcomed the Class of 2025 cohort as they began their first campus immersion.

On Monday of last week, she learned that one of the prospective students who had been accepted but ultimately chose a different program, learned that the school they had chosen was suddenly ending their program, leaving her plans to pursue the degree in shambles. Tracy reached out to her to extend the option to join the ND cohort if she could get there before the first class on Tuesday. After a positive response, and learning she was on the road heading to South Bend, Tracy scrambled MCOB resources to arrange a hotel, update admissions data, etc., and along with the rest of the cohort, welcomed this woman as she entered the lobby of the hotel shortly after 9 PM on Monday night.

It was Tuesday morning before MCOB staff updated administrative records which led to the Banner data for this new student coming over to Okta to create a NetID. In the recent past, that would have meant that the earliest her NetID would be available to be activated would have been late evening. However, due to the recent deployment of the Okta Banner Integration Enhancement project (affectionately nicknamed OB1), her NetID was created and available before noon of her first day on campus, enabling her to fully participate in all the services and materials to make her time at ND memorable and successful.

Kudos to IAM and all those involved in the successful completion of the OB1 project, that enabled a part of this success story.
