End of Year Performance Reviews

It’s that time of year again when we need to finish up our coaching/work plans, upload the updates to Endeavor, and get things through the standard HR performance management process. To help you, we offer these following guidelines and a short list of important dates:

 

Work/Coaching Plan Summary and Performance Ratings 

  • Employees should complete their comments in their work/coaching plan and then select a personal performance rating in Endeavor that they send forward to their supervisor no later than April 8. In Endeavor, the "Employee's Year-end Comments" section should indicate that employee comments have been made in the coaching plan document that will be attached later by their manager. 

  • Managers will then enter their comments and a summary of key results in the Work/Coaching plans for their direct reports. In Endeavor, they should select a performance rating and attach a PDF copy of the completed goals/coaching plan for the employee by April 15th.

 

It is important that managers do not yet discuss ratings with the employees and do not send the reviews forward in Endeavor. These ratings will be used as input for the SLT calibration session that will be held on April 20th to finalize ratings across the organization. 
 

Performance Review Discussions

Following the SLT calibration session, managers and employees have until Monday, May 15th to conduct their final performance review discussions. These discussions can also include initial goal setting for the upcoming 2023-2024 fiscal year. The manager ensures the coaching plan document is uploaded to Endeavor and sends it forward for the final step. Employees should review the supervisor comments in Endeavor and electronically sign and submit their review to fully complete the review process. This final performance conversation along with final ratings and sign off must be completed by employees and managers before the Endeavor system closes on May 15th.  

 

Salary Notifications

Salary notifications will be available to employees in late June and any merit increases issued will take effect on July 1st.

 

Key Dates

  • April 8 (or as indicated by your manager) - Employee year-end comments due in work/coaching plan documents. Personal ratings in Endeavor should be selected and sent forward.
  • April 15 (or as indicated by your SLT person) - Manager year-end coaching plan comments and Endeavor ratings due.

(Do not send Endeavor reviews forward yet.)

  • April 20 - SLT calibration session
  • April 21 to May 15 - Performance review discussions with managers and employees and completion of final steps in Endeavor.
  • May 15 - Endeavor system closes.
  • July 1 - Merit increases take effect.
