112 Pill Bottles Collected for Matthew 25 Ministries

Pill bottles are sitting empty across almost every household; whether from a monthly prescription, a finished set of antibiotics, or daily vitamins. Yes, they can make it into recycling to start a new life, but what if these bottles could end up in the hands of those who need them most? With a longstanding OIT CAFE initiative, they can.

Matthew 25 Ministries is a humanitarian aid organization that helps over 20 million people each year by rescuing and reusing products to get necessities to those without. The collection of pill bottles is one of the many ways they achieve this mission. To help contribute your empty pill bottles to this cause, the following steps need to be taken.

Pill Bottle Donation Preparation

  1. Collect empty pill bottles with caps.
  2. Remove all labels and label residue.
  3. Wash the bottles with hot water and soap.
  4. Drop off clean bottles in the collection bin located in the OIT Business Office (Information Technology Center, Room 114).

That is all it takes. The bottles will then be collected and shipped to Matthew 25 Ministries to be distributed.
