Where did you grow up? What did you enjoy about it?
I grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  However, I’m an army brat so we also lived close to Savannah, Georgia, and in Panama City, Panama.  I loved being exposed to different cultures, food, music, and making new friends.

What is one memorable childhood experience?
I come from a big family; 7 siblings.  One of the fondest memories I have is when we would all get in the family station wagon and drive to my aunt’s farm house in San Sebastian.  While there we would ride horses, play in the river, and play lots of bingo.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I love to dance salsa and merengue with my husband.  I also love going to the beach and cheering on my kids’ soccer teams.

How did you get into IT?
I got into IT shortly after graduating from FSU.  I worked for a third party benefit outsourcing software company.  I started in an entry level position and worked my way up.  It’s been a rewarding experience.

What are a few of your family’s favorite things to make to eat?
My family loves taco night; it’s a production and everyone has a job.  My daughter makes the best homemade corn tortillas. I make pico de gallo and prepare different proteins.  We end up stuffed and happy.

What is something you think is the most unique about you?
My deadlift PR is 235 pounds. I’m pretty proud of that!
